Hi Elmer
Is there anyway to grayscale contours in Elmerpost?
I guess I should modify Colormap for this purpose, but I don't know how.
Thankes, Hamed

Re: Still need help for Streamlines
Dear Matthias I really appreciate your kind attention. 1- In fact I couldn't find an appropriate help for Elmerpost (if there is any). 2- I plot fluid flow streamlines. So the variable must be velocity. 3- Colors are shown in the picture attached to my previous post. 4- It changes the number of plot...

Re: Still need help for Streamlines
Hi Peter
Of course, regarding Elmer it will be my first priority to start working with Paraview. However, now I'm in an emergency. I wish someone could answer my question.
Thanks, Hamed

Still need help for Streamlines
Dear Elmer friends
I asked a question about streamlines in my previous post:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4095
but unfortunately I didn’t get my answer.
I’ll be thankful if somebody can help with this issue, since it’s really important for me.
Regards, Hamed

Re: Streamlines in Elmerpost
Hi Matthias I guess you didn't get my question. I know the red line corresponds to the value of 0.6666666666 of the variable. In fact it's quite obvious. But I can't understand what this value says about streamline. Is it an indicator of streamline strength? For example can anybody say that a stream...

Streamlines in Elmerpost
Dear Elmer friends I’m using “isocontours” tab in Elmerpost to view flow streamlines. It works nicely, but as shown in the following picture, some numbers appear in the “isocobtours” tab that I’m not familiar with. Can anybody explain what these numbers are? What is their function and what do they i...

Coupling solid-BEM with fluid-FEM in Elmer
Dear Elmer group Hi As you know, a boundary element solver was provided in Elmer previously. Now we intend to extend this boundary element solver for simulation of an elastic solid and couple this solid-BEM solver to fluid-FEM solver of Elmer for FSI simulations. Considering this, we’ll be grateful ...

Shearrate solver
Dear Elmer
Hi
I'm using shearrate solver, however I found that it needs a too fine mesh to give accurate results. Is there any way to optimize this solver and use it effectively with a coarser mesh?
Thanks

Defining step function for inlet velocity
Dear Elmer friends I want to apply a step velocity (V2=0.5) at t=0 on the inlet boundary of a tube (tube radius=0.01). I use the following command but the velocity increases over the time to V2=30 until the solver diverges. Velocity 2 = Variable Coordinate 1, Real MATC "0.5*(1-(tx/0.01)^2)"...

Re: Navier-Stokes Solver
Oh my friend Anil
Hi
You really surprised me.
I used "external pressure" and it worked nicely.
I greatly appreciate your genuine help.
Best Regards, Hamed
