Should the compilation of all modules (GUI and non-GUI) work now on Ubuntu 14.04 with the general compilation instructions? I get the error message as described in post http://www.elmerfem.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3585 I don't know which of the modules ivnn talked about still are necessary....

Same problem here. I can't compile Elmerfem on Ubuntu 14.04. Even when I take all the information from the forum I am not able to run the compilation with success. That's a pitty. It always worked with ubuntu 12.04. Are there any working compilation scripts for all modules to run on Ubuntu 14.04 or ...

I had the same problem and found the solution. Just delete the first space in the fourth line of run-readtest (in .../elmerfem/fem/src/binio/test). The result should be:
