Re: Pavel SEMTEC IM tutorial
Hi, This sif should result in iron losses at nominal point as the rotor runs with nominal slip https://github.com/pavelponomarev/Elmer_IM2D_cases/blob/v1.0.0/IM_one_pole/transient_iron_loss.sif The coefficients for the iron losses I have taken from one of the publications, and unfortunately I do not...

Hi,
have you tried increasing
Steady State Max Iterations?

Re: Pavel SEMTEC IM tutorial
Hi,
Parallel paraview files should have extension .pvtu. Look for those files.
And a general advise is to debug your parallel runs locally before running those batch jobs remotely.

Re: Pavel SEMTEC IM tutorial
Hi,
Which command you used to run the simulation?
It might be an issue with your local MPI setup as multi-slice model works only in parallel with MPI.
Google about MPI and run Elmer tests related to MPI, see if they pass.

Hi,
You can find this a bit outdated tutorial e.g. here:

Variable from lumped scalars
Hi, Is it possible to create a global scalar variable from scalars computed in other solvers within SIF without programming ? E.g. I want to create a variable Torque from "res: air gap torque" created by the MagnetoDynamics2D solver. Later I would use this Torque variable together with ODE...

Re: Degenerate 2D elements, GMSH mesh
Hi, I have also a big mesh in MagnetoDynamics ~1M elements converted from external format. ElmerGrid does not give any warnings and converts it OK. During the solution ElmerSolver returns ERROR messages conserned of 20 or so elements with their numbers. Like this: ... ERROR:: ElementMetric: Degenera...

Re: Insulator Boundary for WhitneyAVSolver
Hi,
I have not solved it.
It might be a good addition if eddy-currents could be solved for each body separately, not to the whole domain with non-zero conductivity. This way the insulator boundary will be imposed automatically. Maybe a separate key for this?
