Hi everyone,
i have a question regarding the structure of a Elmer .ep File. Is it possible to see in there which simulated value corresponds to the mesh face its derived on?

Re: ElmerSolver puts out wrong/strange result
Hi Anli,
sorry for the late reply. Here is the .hdf file. I exported Cut_2 in a step file. I then imported the step file directly in ElmerGUI and applied the Potential 10 on the one cut out box and 0 on the other.

Hi Anil,
sry for the late reply. here is the .hdf file. i exported cut_22 into a step file and imported this directly in Elmer. And aplliyed the 10 Voltage at one of the cut outs and 0 Voltage to the other one.

Re: ElmerSolver puts out wrong/strange result
Hi Anil,
i attach my Slome Study. Maybe that will help you. I also dont understand, how you derived the Electric field you sent me. Sorry that i'm such a hard patient, but i dont use salome to mesh. I just imported the step-file directly into Elmer, so ElmerGrid did the meshing.

Hi Anil,
i have attached my .sif file, but i dont know how to export in .unv. In Salome there is no export file format such as .unv.

ElmerSolver puts out wrong/strange result
Hello everyone, i have a problem with the computation of the field of a parallel plate condensator. In my geometry file the plates have a distance of 10. So when applying a potential of 10 to one of them and 0 to the other, one should obtain a value for the absolut electric field of 1 (or higher if ...
