some questions about [3d Magdyn,Wsolver,CoilSolver,circuit]
Hi, There is a model with two coils twist with each other,as shown in the figure. https://s2.loli.net/2024/01/07/3S6aAiL9yknKhWo.jpg As I connect [Coil.1] in series with alternating current source. The two sides of [Coil.2] are grounded so there will be induced circulation current in it.I would like ...

Re: Circuits and dynamics with full coil
I am having a similar problem. I am not sure if circuit solver currently works in conjunction with coilsolver for 3D simulation of an inductor or transformer for example. For 2D I have no issues, as there is no need to use coilsolver with circuit solver. For 3D, working from the examples, when I ch...

Some questions about MagDynHarmonic and Circuit
Hi I build a 3d model with two cables and air.Cable_1 series connection with current source, and I want to calculate the induced current in Cable_2.How could I set Cable_2 in "circuits.definitions"?(I need induced current could flowing through Cable_2) https://s2.loli.net/2023/12/05/dLDzGq...

Re: [MgDynHarmonic,SaveScaler]current in body force
Hi xiejinzhi I just came across your post because I'm dealing with a similar question. Does the B vector field look reasonable? Cheers Hi Use "circuits_harmonic" as power source(see the case in "elmerfem-devel\fem\tests\circuits2D_harmonic_massive"),not "body force",th...

ERROR[Segmentation fault - invalid memory reference]in circuits_harmonic_massive
Hi, recently I build a 3d cable model after I learned the case "circuits_harmonic_massive",but it shows "Segmentation fault - invalid memory reference" when elmer run. Program received signal SIGSEGV: Segmentation fault - invalid memory reference. Backtrace for this error: #0 0x4...

how to set the current direction in [WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver] and [CircuitsAndDynamicsHarmonic]
Hello, Recently i build a 3D model of a submarine cable in elmer. And I also found that [ Magdynharmonic + CircuitsAndDynamicsHarmonic ] is of good use in 2D model. So i want to use this method in 3D model. However, i have no idea about how to set the current direction in 3D model(see the two pictures ...

how to set discretization in Elmer
Hi
In COMSOL, the discretization could be setted by this
Could Elmer do this?

error:'The old way of dealing with HeatGap is obsolite'
Hi, I want to add heat gap to some boundaries. In sif the boundary condition: ! heatgap Boundary Condition 2 Target Boundaries(1) = 16 Heat Gap = True Heat Transfer Coefficient = 1150 End it shows Errors: ['ERROR:: IterSolve: Numerical Error: Too many iterations were needed.'] Warnings: ['WARNING:: H...

Re: how to get variable "temperture e"
Hi The "varname e" is used as a distinction from "varname" in cases when you can choose between discontinuous and continuous fields. The discontinous fields may be presented by discontinuous galerkin basis i.e. each element having separate values on the same nodes. Say, in elect...
