Re: The status of ElmerIce tests
Hi Peter, I don't really understand the cmake build system to be honest. So a git pull and running make is not sufficient? I'll empty the build directory and run the build script again from scratch... that should do it! Then I'll run the tests again and see if we get anything different. In general s...

The status of ElmerIce tests
Hi all, I have recently tried to run all the elmer tests on my laptop computer. Some of them fail :o, including two of the elmerice tests. I repeated the elmerice tests that failed on Taito, the CSC hpc machine. In both cases I was using the latest version of elmerice from github (checked out within...

Re: elmerf90-nosh and Elmer/Ice tests
Thanks Thomas, that was it. It hadn't occurred to me that these branches might have diverged significantly already, but in any case I should get used to just working in the elmerice branch. Incidentally, I've cloned the elmerfem repo on two different machines with two different versions of git (1.7 ...

Re: elmerf90-nosh and Elmer/Ice tests
Hi all, I am new to cmake and want to run the elmerice tests. A naïve install using cmake doesn’t seem to activate the ElmerIce tests for me. The elmerice/Tests directory is present in the build directory but without the subdirectories for individual tests. The fem/tests directory, however, does see...

Re: Non-smooth weertman basal velocity
Hi Christian, the "Normal-Tangential Velocity" setting is local to the boundary condition in which you apply it. You don't need to "undo" this. Are you using a spatially uniform basal drag coefficient? If so then the non-smooth basal velocity might arise from a non-smoth bedrock....

Elmer/Ice test cases
Hi all, I am currently running the test cases, which I haven't done before, and I notice some failures, albeit by fairly small margins. Do these look worrying to you? Cheers, Rupert ============================================================= Test ElmerIce Solvers Option []: All tests without email...

Re: ElmerSolver test case how-to
So, much better than before, nearly all pass. Should I be concerned about the few that fail? Or does this look acceptable? ... test 151 : levelset3 [FAILED] Computed NRM=.373585E-001 Target NRM=.503468E-001, look at [levelset3/test.log] for details ... test 171 : mgdyn_lamstack_lowfreq_harmonic [FAI...

Re: ElmerSolver test case how-to
Hang on, I had a link that pointed to an older version of ElmerSolver. I am re-running now with svn version 7029. I get fewer fails, but still not all tests pass. I'll post again when it finishes...

Rupert

Re: ElmerSolver test case how-to
Hi Peter and co, should we expect all tests to complete successfully? I am running the tests now because I plan some minor commits soon and I want to check I haven't broken anything. When I run the tests I get a number of individual fails but at the end it says the test has passed successfully... is...
