Re: paraview copy-paste (clone/dublicate) filter

Hi, I have now sent an email to the paraview emailing list, here a short summary in case someone else is interested in that: Apparently there is no simply copy-paste-filter function, at least I didn't got any feedback about that. There is several possible workarounds which all have advantages and di...

Re: Save Data and boundaries and partitions

Hi Peter,

thanks for the not only quick, but nearly instantaneous answer!
That was the line that I was missing. It works perfect and I found (and corrected) right away still another error in my older counting and adding scripts :-(.

Save Data and boundaries and partitions

Hi all, I have a question about the ascii output of SaveData -> SaveScalars. I am running SaveData->SaveScalars over my whole parallel mesh, see below. Some partitions of my mesh have one boundary condition more than the others (practically it's a glacier with some nunataks and some partitions conta...

Re: ParStokes

Hi Mika, thanks for your feedback. Then I should probably play around a bit more with the parameters of the ParSolver and see what happens. I have also to add, that the biggest differences occur in the areas of fast flow caused by basal sliding, that is in areas of very fine mesh resolution (refinem...

ParStokes

Hi all, I have run now the ParStokes Solver and I am comparing to the "normal" Navier-Stokes Solver (with FlowModel=Stokes) and I get in some regions rather large differences. I haven't yet played around a lot with the different parameters (for ex. convergence tolerances), but I was wonder...

paraview copy-paste (clone/dublicate) filter

Hi all, I'd like to copy-paste (or clone/dublicate) a filter in paraview, i.e. applying extactly the same filter on two different sources without having to redefine the filter. For the moment I'm doing that via save-state/load-state and adjusting each time the input file (or via "change input&q...

Re: [Solved] Mesh Update in ResultOutputSolve

Great thanks, it works. A related question: is there a reason why WARNING:: WriteVtuXMLFile: Nonexistent variable warnings lead to a seg.fault? Couldn't it just remain warning (or for consistency be an error)? I find it often quite annoying having a simulation run (correctly) over hours and then to ...

[Solved] Mesh Update in ResultOutputSolve

Hi, I am encountering problems with saving Mesh Update with ResultOuputSolve with r6262 which did not occur with r6235. Using ResultOutputSolve in a run that does not involve the Mesh Update Solver without indicating the list of Scalars and Vectors to be saved works. Indicating a list which contains...

Re: Saving results & restarting

Thanks, great news Peter!

I'm trying on taito now, first runs look good, but I won't be able before tomorrow morning to see if the problem is really solved (if not, I'll post it here).

Re: Saving results & restarting

Hi Peter and Yongmei, I have reproduced some of Yongmei's errors - once by running her simulations on my account and once by using my own simulations (very similar setup) which also have been working earlier. So I don't think the main problem is not specific to her own userfunctions or her recent ch...
