Re: magnetization setting for Magnetic Fields in 3D
The GUI doesn't have everything, the solvers are updated much more frequently than the GUi. Actually the manuals do not have everything, the solvers are updated much more frequently than the manuals. Thanks for clarification. So as long as I can rely that what is in the docs, will work, I am fine. ...

@raback, I assume this is an easy fix, right?kevinarden wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 12:41 Try

That error is usually when Elmer does not know what variable type to use for a variable.

Re: mistakes in the Manual
Regarding the bug of the missing 'Im', PR #382 has been accepted and the bug is now fixed. Wait for tomorrow's binary builds or build from the latest source. Please take a look and confirm that this works for you. Hi Rich, many thanks! I took the latest Elmer nightly build and can confirm this bug ...

[fixed] bug in WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver with potential
- I use Elmer daily build from February 8 2023 - in Elmer GUI, create a Body Force for the equation "MgHarm" - there enter a number of your choice to the field "Electric Potential Im" - generate the case.sif and you will see e.g. this: Body Force 1 Name = "BodyForce 1" ...

[resolved] magnetization setting for Magnetic Fields in 3D
The models manual state in section 18 " Computation of Magnetic Fields in 3D" that there is a body force called magnetization. When using ElmerGUI however, there is no possibility to set a magnetization as body force. My question is therefore if this is a missing feature in ElmerGUI or a m...

two mistakes in Tutorial no. 14
In the Tutorial no. 14 "Magnetic field induced by harmonic current in a wire" are two bugs: 1. Equation 14.3 states how to calculate B for a given wire radius. In the Text it is written that R is 0.01m, but to get the mentioned result of B = 0.037T, the radius R is 0.001 m. Looking at the ...

Save Project, click on Sif, Generate and then edit the sif file. Here is what has been added by the sif generator: Variable = Potential[Potential Re:1 Potential:1] Yes, this is the bug I see. ------------- Concerning the docs, I miss sometimes consistence to what ElmerGui does. For example sometime...

Re: Issues with frequency specification for magnetodynamics
OK I re-read the tutorial and see that I must only have ONE equation and there add the MgHarm and MgDynPost equation. The resulting case.sif contains then however this: Solver 1 Equation = MgHarm ... Solver 2 Equation = MgDynPost ... Equation 1 Name = "MgHarm" Active Solvers(2) = 2 1 End S...
