Problem Paraview Integration into Elmer Gui

Post by Brainbustling »

Hello,

i´ve got a little problem using Paraview out of Elmer Gui.
I use Elmer 8.4-7b58366a and ParaView 5.8.0-RC2-Windows-Python3.7-msvc2015-64bit.
I can start Paraview out of Elmer Gui but the output file is named "case_0001.vtu" but paraview is looking for "case0001.vtu ".
I only found in the Setup Setting of the Gui the opportunity to set the name but not the underscore.
Where can i change, that the underscore is set?

Thx for reading. :)

you can install paraview for windows independent of elmer and open any file you want.

Once you open paraview, even from elmer, you can do a file open and select the file you want to open.

Elmer has changed the format that it is renaming vtu files.

you can also control the file naming convention by using quotations instead of the default

Post File = "case.vtu"

in the simulation section produces

case0001.vtu

etc.

Hi,

thx for your replay :)
I tried using quotations, but with no luck.
the output postfile was still named: "case_t0001.vtu".

I was in a earlier version, in the latest version the "_t" is hard coded into the code.
