ctest failed

Post by Tan »

Dear all,
I installed elmer 8.4 in Ubuntu18.04

When I am installing it, there are some warning. When it finished, I used ctest to test the module, but two of them failed.

One is #217 ModelPDE
The other is #314 RotatingBCPoisson3DGeneric

And when I used it to simulated electric field, it could not give the value on each point.

I tried different CMake, g++, gcc and gfortran version to complie it, but the problem still stay.

Thanks!
Yours,
Tan

Hi Tan

If just two of the hundreds tests failed that's pretty good. Of course it would be preferable that none of the tests would fail. Some tests might not be that robust. If you have just slight difference in norm that's often ok. The default accuracy by which the norms are tested is 1.0e-6.

Your question about electric field I don't understand.
