Shark Navigator Lift Away Deluxe NV360: Most Frequently Asked Questions In March 2024

As one of the most popular upright vacuums in the budget category, there has been a lot of interest among consumers surrounding the Image Shark navigator NV360.

But with interests also come with a lot of questions. We have received plenty of these over the last couple of months and you will find in this short FAQ article today the answers to the most popular ones.

How Does the Lift-Away Mode on the NV360 Actually Works?

This is a classic question. After all, the Lift-Away Mode is the most distinguishing feature of the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 upright vacuum and the rest of the Shark Navigator Lift-Away series.

If you don’t know what Lift-Away is, basically, it allows you to convert the vacuum from a normal upright to a canister vacuum. With the push of the button, the core of the vacuum that contains all of the crucial components like the motor, dust cup, and filtering system would come loose. After that, you can use the detached core as a standalone vacuum cleaner.

The detached canister makes it significantly easier to clean higher up places like the shelves or the ceiling. In cramped spaces that require more mobility and portability like the car’s interior, the Lift-Away canister is going to be super useful, too.

Are The Filters of the NV360 Washable? How Do You Do It?

Yes, the filters (including a HEPA filter and two conventional pre-motor filters, one made from foam and the other made from felt) are washable.

According to the manual, the HEPA filter has to be washed once every two years. The pre-motor filters should be given a rinse once every three months.

Washing the filters are quite simple and quick, but you should be gentle while doing it lest you damage them. Additionally, you shouldn’t wash all three filters together. Instead, take the extra time and wash them one by one. It won’t take that long and there would be less risks of damaging them.

Put the filter under gentle running water (make sure not to turn your tap all the way.) The water would be blackened at first from all of the collected grimes and dirt being washed away. Keep the filter under the tap until the water passing through becomes clear.

Gently squeeze the filter to take out all of the excess water.

Do this for all three filters and put them in an airy place to dry. This should take about 24 hours. Do not attempt to use the filters until they are completely dry. If the filters are used while they are wet, they can become irreparably ruined.

When to Empty the Dust Cup? How to Do It?

Although the dust cup of the Shark - Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe bagless upright vacuum is measured to be around 3 dry quarts, it actually only holds about 1.2 dry quarts up to the fill line. If the cup contains more than 1.2 dry quarts and passes the fill line, it’s going to suffer a performance decrease.

Emptying the dust cup is fairly simple. Hover the cup above a trash can and press the release tab on the cup. The tab will open up the bottom of the cup and gravity will pull everything inside out and into the trash can.

A lot of users have complained that this is a fairly messy process and can kick up a lot of dust. If you have respiratory problems or allergies, be cautious.

Hi

The "Fatal" function in Messages.F90 does return "1", or at least tries to.

So I guess you system does not end up in error but in divergence? What exactly does not converge? The remedy would perhaps be to determine non-convergence of nonlinear system as a Fatal problem - on request.
