Hello,
How do I convert the units from SI system to the English system in Elmer GUI?
Thanks,

Unit conversion
Re: Unit conversion
Hi,
AFAIK there is no such thing as a "unit switch" in Elmer. If you REALLY want to use non-SI units (mostly for lengths, I assume), you have to define your geometry in your unit system and convert all material constants accordingly. Also the Constants block in Model->Setup might need to be changed. In fact Elmer doesn't care about units as long as they are used consistently.
But why would one want to use non-SI units for physics...?
Oh yes, if you only want to use different units for lengths in your geometry and mesh, you can use the Coordinate Scaling in Model->Setup and do the calculation in Elmer in SI units.
HTH,
Matthias
