Need help for air flow simulation in operating block

Post by Schpountz83 »

Hello everybody,

I really need some help because my head will explode!!!
Here is my problem: I would like to study the air flow in an operating block. The air is pulsed through a laminar flow and recirculated with 4 extractions at each corner of the room. Part of the air is also renewed.

Here are the values: Pulsated air (laminar flow) 10100 m3/h
Recirculated air: 4*2225 m3/h
Renewed air: 1200 m3/h

I have been able to run a simulation that converges but the result is absurd. It seems that the air pulsated from the roof at 10100 m3/h is stopped because, exept at the air entrance, the air velocity is 0. And even if I fix the air velocity outlet, there is no air going to the exhausts!

This should be an easy simulation but I searched for hours the problem and there is no way to solve this!

I use Elmer 8.0 for the simulations, Salome for the mesh and Paraview for visualization.

You can find all the files here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_6aSS ... UelpYI4MB7

Please!!! Helpppp!! Let me know if you need more informations...

Thank you

Hi,

I cannot open the google drive link, it seems to be blocked by our IT.
It would be a good idea to at least upload the sif file, better make a small test case (max. file size is 50 MB) reproducing the problem.
