When I want to view the simulation results of magnetic field, I see two choices:
magnetic flux density and magnetic flux density_e.
What do they mean separately? What's the difference?
Thanks!

Re: A small question about viewing results of magnetic field
"magnetic flux density" gives the best global fit where the basis for the approximation is spanned by the usual Lagrange (nodal) basis functions. "magnetic flux density e" is obtained by making the best fit elementwise without solving a large system. The first way (the global fit) may smear discontinuities which can be natural to the solution.

Re: A small question about viewing results of magnetic field
Hi
Just a note: in VTU output there is a keyword "Discontinuous Bodies = Logical True" that takes nodal averages of the elemental fields within each body while enriching the visualization space with some additional nodes at the interfaces to allow solutions to be discontinuous between different bodies. This gives the prettiest pictures.

Hi Peter!
Thanks for the clarification! I will try
