Transient WhitneyAV I(U) oscilations

Post by vencels »

Hi,

Transient WhitneyAVSolver simulation with circuits.

The same case is solved two times - by setting
1) current we should get voltage
2) voltage we should get current

It seems that by setting the current, the solution is more stable. However, when setting voltage, we get oscillations for the current.

I use "implicit Euler" timestepping and uniform (equal in size) timesteps. I also tried other time-stepping schemes, but not much improvement.
There are no non-linear materials (all permeabilities and conductivities are constant).

What could be the reason for such oscillations?

Well folks, if you encounter such issue then increase

Code: Select all

Linear System Convergence Tolerance
