yes it works for linear meshing. If you go for Higher order mesh it wont... I have gone through your mesh file. Its a liner mesh if you go for higher order like 2nd order mesh my problem arises ..

Hi,

obviously I was too hasty and didn't take notice of the fact that your mesh is of order 2...

I can reproduce your problem here: The mesh saved by gmsh look OK in gmsh when reloaded, but both ElmerGUI and ElmerGrid don't recognize the surfaces except one.

So I think there is a bug in ElmerGrid. I attach here the mesh files with and without physical groups. Elmer team, please take over... ;)

Thank you for the response. I am working to understand how Elmer takes the mesh data to create higher order meshes..

And if you are using Gmsh 3.0 or any higher version there is no option to save mesh with and without physical groups. we can just save the mesh with its default ASCII 2.0 Format.

So, We need to find the solution for the problem without having the physical groups in Gmsh mesh data..

Any way, we will wait for any Elmer FEM people can Debug this issue.

Thank you,
Matthias

I have found something related to this issue.

In the above link my problem has been discussed already..

Thank you for your time Matthias.

Now I will try with the things given in this and update the result in the blog.
Thank you,
Sharath.
