Hi shandilya here,


I'm an absolute beginner to Elmer can anybody please tell me how to apply point load at particular node, and can we find stiffness matrix, displacement matrix with in the software ? and instead of importing other cad files can't we make the model in Elmer itself?
Can somebody please suggest some video tutorials on Elmer

Could you please share some tutorials on solid mechanics using ELMER, like beams, frames, truss etc.

I don't think Elmer has truss elements, but if you make the inertia really small and only use point constraints and loads it will be truss like. To make it a frame just put in real inertia.

This type of modeling and solving is doable in Elmer, but CalculiX is more focused on this area.
