Hi all,
I need to refine the mesh in the throat of a hyperbolic horn that has been reduced to a 1/4 quadrant sheet (2D). If the mesh does not closely conform to the curve the results will probably not work. I have tried adding points along the curve but the accuracy of the gmsh geometry tools doesn't seem to be accurate enough. Is there any way that I can assure that the point is exactly on the line.
I used FreeCAD to generate the geometry, exported the file to a .brep and loaded that into gmsh. The shape of the horn is super critical.
The .brep file is attached:

You can use mesh, define, transfinite curve, curve and specify the number of nodes on the curves. You can make them all the same or specify the number on the curves for each curve.

Thanks Kevin. I'll put that in my toolbox. I see to have found another combination that resulted in a better mesh. Another problem. New topic.
