Salome "topoDS::compound" Error

Hi,
I have geometry (.iges) made in Autocad and imported to Salome I want to create a face of the inner net (representing discontinuity system), but when I select all the edges and try to create a face I get an error: "topoDS::compound".
Could you tell me what this error refers to, and how to get past it?
thanks for your replies,

Jonas

It looks like you are trying to select the outer edges but to get a face the edges have to form a closed loop. In your geometry each individual square is a closed loop.

I was concerned about the face of the " inner crack system". I was able to get around it by dividing it itn smaler sections. Might be that there were some imperfections in the imported geometry that i wasn´t able to find at once for the whole system.
