Hi Paul,

The names have worked for years as an alternative approach. However, it only works if the initial format includes those. Currently this is supported in UNV and Gmsh formats only. Then you can say

Code: Select all

Simulation :: Use Mesh Names

Boundary Condition 1
  Name = "inlet"
  ...

Regarding forum notifications, I haven't seen the notifications work in years. This is bad if people think they can post something and expect to be notified, meanwhile there are answers that never get read by the OP. A work around is to check the forum index frequently, looking for posts that say 'Today', or place a bookmark to your own topic to make it easy to retrieve any responses.

Rich.

I go to quick links and select unread posts. It tracks the ones you have not read.

Hello Kevin,

If one has logged into the forum, then 'unread posts' appear in quick links. Without logging into the forum, it does not. The forum can only keep track of unread posts if logged into the forum.

Nice, and I'll try using this tip.

Thanks, Rich.

Notifications are a standard feature and should just work. Maybe time to upgrade php and phpBB, and check the server settings?
