Wrong results for Axi Symmetric and Coordinate Scaling

Post by thalesmaoa »

Hi guys, I was playing with Elmer and I faced a problem using Axi Symmetric and Coordinate Scaling.

As other FEM uses millimeters, I've made some models using milimeters. In order to simulate with Elmer I've added Coordinate Scaling (0.001) and everything works as expected.

However, I tried to use Axi Symmetric and Coordinate Scaling and it doesn't work.

It consider that my model is meters, not milimeters.

Can anyone test or help to see if I'm doing something wrong?

My solvers are magdyn2d and magdynpost.

Thanks

Hi kevinarden, thx for the fast reply.

As you requested, I tried to reproduce it again to post the file. However, after a fresh new simulation I wasn't able to as you mentioned. Here are the results:

The only probably solution is that I changed the order of solvers by mistake.

The result is little different from FEMM. I will look for it.
