Re: Issue with ElmerGrid when Editing Internal Vertices
Hi kevin, I really appreciate your quickly reply. It helps a lot! However, It is not completely clear for me yet. Sorry I've built two models with exactly the same procedure. Same air volume, but only changing the internal body. If I use a cylinder, without creating internal boundaries, I can view a...

Issue with ElmerGrid when Editing Internal Vertices
I'm currently working on a 3D magnetostatics project involving a simple magnet suspended in the air. In my initial attempt, I used a cylinder, and the mesh created with FreeCAD and Salome seamlessly converted using either ElmerGrid or ElmerGUI. However, upon transitioning to a more complex model, co...

Re: Error using CoilSolver
Hi vinarco, I think that it was exactly what fff means.
I order to diagnose that there is a problem in your mesh, he checks the sif file. Can you please post your FreeCAD model?

Re: Axis Symmetric post processing
Sorry, but I'm not completely clear of what result I will achieve doing coordsX*A There shouldn't be x,y -> r,phi conversion? From my understanding, Elmer is calculating everything as if (Z-axis) would be 2*pi*r. That is the reason why "SaveScalars" work. However, when it comes to postproc...

Re: Axis Symmetric post processing
I still believe that there is a problem with coordinates.
If I simulate with planar I get the same exactly result.
The way it is now is different.
Considering a axis Symmetric simulation, Z-axis should be 2*pi*r. Not sure if paraview understand as this. Any hints?

Re: Axis Symmetric post processing
Hi Kevin, appreciate your file. Unfortunately, your problem does not consider axis symmetry. When I use the planar approach, the results are the same. Thx Hi Raback, I can indeed plot a line. However, from the pictures that I've posted, you can notice that the contour lines are already different. I ...

Axis Symmetric post processing
Hello, I'm trying to produce some tutorials about ELmer for my students. I'm facing some problems regarding post processing calculations. I've replicated the first tutorial of FEMM (https://www.femm.info/wiki/MagneticsTutorial) using Elmer. The worflow is as follows: FreeCAD Design and Mesh -> Elmer...

Re: Wrong results for Axi Symmetric and Coordinate Scaling
Hi kevinarden, thx for the fast reply. As you requested, I tried to reproduce it again to post the file. However, after a fresh new simulation I wasn't able to as you mentioned. Here are the results: https://i.postimg.cc/Pxd309RC/image.png https://i.postimg.cc/DycQm6BT/image.png The only probably so...

Wrong results for Axi Symmetric and Coordinate Scaling
Hi guys, I was playing with Elmer and I faced a problem using Axi Symmetric and Coordinate Scaling. As other FEM uses millimeters, I've made some models using milimeters. In order to simulate with Elmer I've added Coordinate Scaling (0.001) and everything works as expected. However, I tried to use A...
