Re: Model induction between two coils

Are you sure the BCs are at each end of the coil?

Re: Model induction between two coils

It is not required, but is an option. Coil solver saves resources, time, etc. A large coil can be represented with known coil equations.

Or you can model all of the elements and physics, and numerically solve for what the coil equations provide.

Re: Steady state convergence tolerance

Peter is best suited to give a technically explanation but for my limited brain; strategy 1, which I associate with loose couple they converge in steps on after another linear convergence, complete till converged ==> non-linear convergence, complete till converged==> steady state convergence, repeat...

Re: Steady state convergence tolerance

I would describe it as the solution to the equation/equations always vary with time, until a steady state develops. Steady state as opposed to transient gets to the steady state non-changing result faster than going through every transient step. Steady state means that the variables are no longer ch...

Re: 3D simulation of a Motor without application of a load

I was just looking through these examples
https://github.com/ElmerCSC/elmer-elmag

It will run without the Anti Rotational Projector, it is not needed.

The choice of projector I think is mainly based on geometry and solution type.

Re: Coaxial wave guide

I modified the test case to use coordinates x, y, and z.
No mag function in MATC, may consider writing a user function.
