windows mpi binary with MUMPS

Post by mark smith »

Hi
I'm running a 3D conjugate heat problem and can only run with the MUMPS solver on my UBUNTU machine where I get a solution, on my windows machine I can only use iterative solvers which I can't get to converge with a fine hex mesh :( , so is there a precompiled windows mpi binary with MUMPS available?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Mark

No there are no pre-compiled versions with mumps. There is an Elmer VM with it included. You can search this forum for trying to compile ElmerSolver with Mumps on windows, but there are not a lot of successes.

Hi

The little time we put to Windows installer we could not get MUMPS to work. I think it should not be that difficult since msys2 has the package. Just didn't work out of the box.
