3d beam design scheme

Post by Nikolay »

Hello
Is it possible in Elmer to directly define the design scheme with beam elements by defining the coordinates of the nodes and the types of these nodes (hinged or rigid) instead of drawing a 3d model?
If so, tell me where to find it in the documentation?

Can you explain in more detail what you want to accomplish?

Sounds almost like you want to build a robot where the body, arms, and legs are beams and the joints are hinges? Then add dynamics with position, velocity, and acceleration next?

Rich.
