I didn't read the second part of you message. I think the easiest way is to use the component, because in SaveScalars, you also seen names such as i_component(1). But that is perhaps also because you define the names like that? In all examples, you see i_component(1).

Yes, there is nothing fixed. Everything is as we define Nevertheless, we honor backward compatibility and hence I think I will make some alterations to follow more closely the "component" convention. You're probably still the only user so the change can still be made...
