can you help me how to model a irregular graph?

i want to use the Elmer/ice model the inclined rectangular plate in the big rectangular.
first,I make a inclined ractangular mesh grid.
second,in the .sif file,x0,y0 is the origin of the big reactangular,and i set the elevation is -9999 when the point is not in the range of the inclined reactangular.
But,it did't work,and the error is "no matrix exists,can not initialize"
